Willie Samuel Foster, III is the fifth child of fifteen children born to Elder and Mother Willie Samuel Foster, II on New Year's Day in 1961. Of the fifteen children, all are saved. Of the twelve sons, seven are ordained elders and two are pastors. Being his father's namesake, 'Lil Willie' was destined to follow in his father's footsteps as a minister of the Gospel.
His Father impressed upon his family the importance of serving the Lord. Willie learned about the Lord as a child through the examples set by his parents and the daily prayers and bible teachings conducted in the home by his father. Willie attended Mt. Olive COGIC from a child on up where he was taught in the Sunday school and Sunshine Band.
Elder Foster was called home to be with the Lord in 1976 leaving Willie's mother, Ceola Foster, to raise the family alone. This did not diminish her dedication to the Lord. She is a great woman of God and she continued to encourage her children to follow God's plan for their lives until she returned to be with the Lord in 2004.
One day, while yet a teen, his mother posed the question to him; "Willie, why aren't you saved?" Willie honestly didn't have an answer, but the question prompted him to ponder within himself. He then accepted Christ as his personal Lord and Savoir the following day at Tuesday evening service, May 12, 1978.
While still a student at Ypsilanti High School, he began to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with his classmates, teachers and friends. His teachers were astonished at his enthusiasm, ambition and dedication to his faith in God. They admired him for it. In 1979, he graduated from Ypsilanti High School with academic honors and attended Huron Valley trade school to study computer circuitry and advanced electronic technology. He later attended Washtenaw Community College-Liberal Arts and Sciences where he received certification for ISO 9000 and QS 9000 Quality Systems. He is employed at Variety Manufacturing Corporation of Dexter as an Internal Quality Systems Auditor where he shares the "Good News" of Christ to many.
Elder Foster acknowledged the call by God to the ministry as a Gospel Evangelist in 1981. By 1989, he was ordained as an elder by the late Bishop Willie Leroy Harris. As time progressed so did Elder Foster's ministry. He became active in prison and jail outreach as well as ministering in convalescent homes in various locations throughout Michigan. Teaching the "Growing in Grace" class for new members, evangelizing, preaching and running revivals in various places were also an active part of his ministry. He later served as teacher of the young minister's class for training upcoming ministers. Elder Foster also served in District #11 under the leadership of Supt. Willie E. Sheard as District Evangelist, Christian Education Department President and as a member of the finance team.
Elder Foster discovered 'love' right in his local church, Sister Sherrie Ann Robinson (Sheryl). They were married on April 16, 1988. Sheryl is a great support to him and the ministry. The Lord has shown great favor and blessed them with two beautiful daughters, Amber Joy and Charity Grace.
After much prayer and dedication, Elder Foster answered God's call to pioneer a church. In March 1997, Abundant Harvest -A Progressive Ministry Striving for Excellence - was established in Ann Arbor, Michigan. "…The harvest is truly plenteous but the laborers are few" – Matt. 9:37.

Elder Andrew Moore - Church Elder - MInister of Men's Ministry - In God's Image (IGI); Youth Minister
Elder Andrew Moore is a member of Abundant Harvest Church of God InChrist where he enthusiastically serves on the Praise & Worship team, Youth Minister, Scholarship Team and as Men’s Fellowship Team Leader under the mentorship and leadership of Pastor Willie S. Foster III.
He credits his mother for instilling Godly virtues in him at an early age. He accepted Christ at 7 years old and received the Baptism in the Holy Ghost at age 9. From then on, he always had a heart to share Christ with school mates. He was told by several classmates, “I think you’ll be a preacher when you grow up.” Several years later he acknowledged the call and started preaching under the leadership of District Superintendent Willie E. Sheard in 1999.
Elder Moore joined Abundant Harvest Church in 2003 and immediately became active in the ministry working primarily with the Men's Fellowship Team and Praise and Worship. At 33 years of age and after 10 years of preaching, he believes God is ushering in a season of new beginnings and looks forward to what God will do in the newly developing AHC Youth Ministry “Generation Next”. The Youth Ministry will produce young people who will impact generations to come.
He has a loving and beautiful wife, Angela and three children, twins, Mikayla and Andrew Jr., and the newest addition Samuel. His goal in living the full abundant life is to serve God and terrorize the enemy through holy living, teaching/mentoring the youth, singing anointed songs, and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom to all who will listen!
The office of the deacon was developed out of the need of the church at Jerusalem. Deacons were chosen or appointed by the local congregation to care for the physical needs of the congregation. The purpose of deacons is to serve the Lord by conducting the caring ministry of the church - doing the work of benevolence, visiting the sick, being alert to the spiritual needs of the congregation - freeing the pastor(s) to focus on prayer and the ministry of the Word, thus facilitating the spread of the gospel and promoting unity within the church.
"It is not desirable that we should leave the word of God and serve tables. Therefore, brethren, seek out from among you seven men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business; but we will give ourselves continually to prayer and to the ministry of the word." Acts 6:2-4 (NKJV)
1st Timothy 3 and Acts 6 expound the qualifications for the office of deacons; the later contains what could fairly be called the "core qualifications":
"Men of good reputation, full of the Holy Spirit and wisdom" -- Acts 6:3
"And they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and the Holy Spirit" -- Acts 6:5
Deacons King Solomon and Maria Holmes, Jr. are faithful members of Abundant Harvest Church and have been with the ministry since its inception. Having been raised by Christian parents, Brother Solomon and Sister Maria bring a solid Christian heritage to their servanthood and leadership.
Solomon and Maria have the blessing and experience of raising three children to adulthood. Their sons, Andre (keyboard) and Matthew (drums) are involved in the music ministry and are engineering students at EMU. Their daughter Karissa served five years as a Sunday school teacher at Abundant Harvest before leaving Ann Arbor to attend law school and now practices law in Detroit.
Solomon and Maria work together to faithfully serve the ministry in benolovence, visiting the sick and bereaved; caring for and being alert to the spiritual needs of the ministry.
In addition to serving as partners on the Deacon board, they also work together to provide administrative assistance to the ministry. Together, Solomon and Maria serve on the Finance team under the direction of Brother Charles L. Foster. Maria leads the Compassion Team and Public Relations serving as the administrator to the church website. They are dedicated to fulfilling the will of the Lord for their family.
